The Indomina Group is expanding by launching an in-house international sales division to handle foreign sales for the independent studio. The company will be at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival to kick off their foreign sales activity with a slate that includes the vampire thriller “Reign of Blood,” horror flick “The Shrine,” and the award-winning “Tiny Furniture.”
Foreign distribution executives Catherine Quantschnigg and Carole Siller will oversee the new sales arm.

New International Sales Operation To Debut in Cannes With Diverse Slate
Los Angeles, CA – May 3, 2011 – Continuing to expand the scope of its business operations into key growth areas that represent a complete, vertically integrated studio system, The Indomina Group, the fast-growing U.S. and Dominican Republic based producer and distributor of film, TV and trans-media content, has established an in-house international sales division to handle foreign sales for the company. A division of Indomina Releasing, the new sales arm will be overseen by veteran foreign distribution executives Catherine Quantschnigg and Carole Siller. The announcement was made today by Indomina Co-Chairman and CEO Jasbinder Singh Mann.
The company’s foreign sales activity will begin in Cannes where it is unveiling a diverse new slate that includes the vampire thriller “Reign of Blood” for which Elizabeth Hurley, Danny Huston, Wes Bentley, Alice Eve, Gemma Arterton, Mark Strong, Eddie Marsan and Kevin McKidd are attached to star; the horror feature “The Shrine” starring Aaron Ashmore and Cindy Sampson (U.S. theatrical release in 2011 through IFC Films); and the award winning comedy “Tiny Furniture” staring Lena Dunham and Merritt Wever (released by IFC in the U.S.).
“Indomina has been built as an innovative production, distribution, and now sales company that operates on a sound business plan that allows us to choose projects that align with our overall business model,” said Mann. “This is a natural growth initiative for us and we’re excited to introduce the Indomina brand to foreign distribution partners in Cannes.”
Indomina Releasing, the North American distribution division of the The Indomina Group, recently inked an exclusive multi-year distribution deal with Vivendi Entertainment that spans home video, digital, internet, television, VOD and mobile platforms. The output deal reinforces Indomina’s strategy to establish a leadership position in the independent film market, focusing on genre based content and creating a destination for young, dedicated consumers of the fanboy culture.
Indomina Releasing’s debut domestic theatrical release is Yuen Woo Ping’s martial arts feature “True Legend,” starring Vincent Zhao, Zhou Xun, Michelle Yeoh and the late David Carradine. It will open in select North American markets on May 13.
The Indomina Group has also partnered with world-renowned Pinewood Studios Group, to build, operate, manage and market a new state-of-the-art film and television studio facility in the Dominican Republic. “Pinewood Indomina Studios” will be a full-service, world-class production facility for film, TV, and other related media content, servicing the growing Caribbean, Southern and Central American markets as well as Hollywood and the rest of the world.
Catherine Quantschnigg serves as Vice President of International Sales for Indomina Releasing and joined the company from IM Global, where she sold films such as the box office breaking “Paranormal Activity” and Tom Ford’s “A Single Man.” Prior to that she worked for Showtime Networks, selling shows such as “Sleeper Cell,” “Brotherhood” and “Dexter.” Before entering into the international sales business she worked in TV production for cable channels Animal Planet, SPIKE and TLC.
Highly regarded independent strategic consultant Carole Siller has spent the last 20 years working in the entertainment business and has broad experience and successes in international film and TV sales.
