Meet Pierre-Luc Dusseault

One of the many surprise additions Canada has to its House of Commons via an out-of-nowhere surge of NDP winners in Quebec Monday night, 19 year old Pierre-Luc Dusseault will be the youngest person to ever serve as a Canadian Member of Parliament. Representing a party that often places 4th in Quebec ridings, the NDP ended up winning 58 seats in the province (breaking their previous record of just 1), including Dusseault, who got to vote for himself when he hit the polls for the very first time in his life. But he probably never expected to win. He had planned to work a summer job at a golf course (he just finished his first year of university as a political science student), but instead got elected to government and will have a starting salary of $157,000.
