A couple’s love story is acted by 100 actors who compete for the 2 roles & the chance to become AUDITION’s leads. http://tiny.ly/lbKl
“Audition” follows a New York City couple through a short-lived romance that suddenly turns into a dating nightmare. The couple is portrayed by 100 actors who audition for the two roles and the chance to become the film’s leads. Only these two actors will complete the final, terrifying scene. Each scene is finalized as a combination of multiple actors’ performances, with the location, sound design, and story remaining consistent. Documentary moments from behind the scenes make up one third of the film and are edited within the narrative to create interesting contrasts, comparisons, and New York City moments.

About the Production:
“‘Audition’ was motivated by a love of filmmaking coupled with a broken heart and being thrown back into the dating scene, a scene in which a parade of dates followed, dates that all seemed identical. I knew exactly what women were going to say to me next—same words, different people. After one of these dates, I met a friend who had just come back from an audition. She told me about the competitive aspects and strange relationships between everyone. It hit me at that moment—actors and singles constantly face harsh rejection, yet are willing to get up and try again.” — Matt Herron
