Watch: Trailer For The Scariest Film Of The Year, The Pro-Sarah Palin Documentary 'The Undefeated'

Ah, you gotta love revisionist history, especially when its just in time for an election.

In case you haven’t heard, Sarah Palin is the subject of a new hagiography documentary, “The Undefeated” (an ironic title for many reasons), which wants to paint her as a “warrior” politician for the little people while ignoring that she resigned as Governor of Alaska in the wake of charges of ethics violations, launched her own self-serving reality show as well charged $100,000 to speak at the inaugural Tea Party convention. So much for grassroots politics. You probably won’t be surprised to learn Stephen Bannon, who has previously made documentaries on Ronald Reagan (”In The Face Of Evil”) and the Tea Party movement (”Generation Zero”), is behind the camera. Nor should you be surprised that it looks absolutely amateur.

But, if you’re looking for something a bit more critical or least with lots more innuendo, shock documentarian Nick Broomfield is also working on this own Palin movie and as been shopping it around town. His film includes interviews with Palin’s parents, friends, colleagues and folks like ex-legislative director John Bitney and ex-brother-in-law Mike Wooten. We suppose if you watch both of them you’ll wind up with a balanced portrait of the politician. Check out the trailer for “The Undefeated” below; it opens on July 15th. [THR]
