The Academy announced today that its Science and Technology Council had selected as its 2011 interns five students who will have the opportunity to participate in 10-12 week internships providing the opportunity to experience advanced movie-making technology.
The Council itself will host one intern, while the others, who come from universities across the country such as UC Berkeley and Rochester Institute of Technology, will be hosted by Pixar, Industrial Light & Magic, and Rhythm & Hues Studios.
The Academy’s 2011 science and technology interns are:
Yunfei Bai, Georgia Institute of Technology – Rhythm & Hues Studios Yunfeng Bai, Cornell University – Industrial Light & Magic Yeon Jin Lee, University of California, Berkeley – Pixar Animation Studios Alex Pagliaro, Rochester Institute of Technology – Science and Technology Council Xinxin Zhang, New York University – Pixar Animation Studios.
