The con artist caper “VIPs” from first-time feature director Toniko Melo and produced by Fernando Meirelles (“City of God”) won the Crystal Lens jury award for Best Feature Film at the 15th annual Brazilian Film Festival of Miami, which wrapped over the weekend. The film also won its lead Wagner Moura the Crystal Lens Award for Best Actor.
The mystery drama “180′” also nabbed two Crystal Lens jury awards: Best Director for Eduardo Vaisman and Best Screenplay for Claudia Mattos.
The Audience Award for best Best Feature Film went to Roberto Santucci’s sex shop comedy “Head Over Heels.”
