Sin City 2 Funded, Bruce Willis Is Newest GI Joe, Keanu Reeves Directs

Keanu Reeves will direct, write and star in Man of Tai Chi, a Mandarin and English language film. He is now is in talks with Village Roadshow Pictures and China Film Group, reports The Wrap. The martial arts film will be Reeves’ directorial debut and will also star Tiger Chen, who was part of the martial arts team on The Matrix.

-Last month, Robert Rodriguez confirmed that Frank Miller had written the script for Sin City 2. Now he has added financing as well. At Comic-Con he said filming could start “as early as later this year.” Still no news with the casting, but rumors are that the story line is A Dame to Kill For, which would bring back both Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba.

-Bruce Willis is in negotiations to play the original Joe for GI Joe 2: Retaliation, writes THR. Willis’ role would be General Joe Colton, who started the GI Joe strike team. Director Jon Chu plans to begin shooting later this month in New Orleans. Paramount has set a release date of June 29, 2012.
