Most certainly one of my most anticipated films of this year’s Toronto Film Festival, three clips from writer/director Sarah Polley’s “Take This Waltz” have surfaced and they’re gorgeous (who knew Sarah Polley had so much Wong Kar Wai in her). An infidelity drama (my favourite kind of drama!) set during a hot Toronto summer, its script was on the Blacklist (with good reason – I got the chance to read last year and it’s fantastic), and I can’t think of much better hands than Polley herself as director and Michelle Williams as star to pull it off. And the somewhat questionable casting of Sarah Silverman as Williams’ sister-in-law seems promising here (if you can judge by a minute-long clip, at least). Enjoy:
