Watch: Lush, Beautiful, Swoon-Inducing Trailer for Michael Winterbottom's "Trishna"

The Toronto International Film Festival can’t come soon enough. The first trailer for Michael Winterbottom’s Indian riff on Thomas Hardy’s novel “Tess of the d’Ubervilles,” “Trisha” (it world premieres at TIFF in September), dropped last night and it’s among the most breathtaking previews to hit all year.

Shot on location in Jaipur, India, “Trisha” pairs Freida Pinto up with Riz Ahmed (“Four Lions”) as a pair of good-looking doomed lovers.

Pinto’s jaw-dropping beauty is matched in the clip by the gorgeous work of Winterbottom’s longtime cinematographer Marcel Zyskind (“24 Hour Party People, “A Mighty Heart”) and a moving song from Indian film composer Amit Trivedi, who wrote the score and some original songs for the film.

Color us excited.
