'Arrested Development' Cast Gets Back Together For The New Yorker Festival

While it has been five years since Fox pulled the plug and “Arrested Development” went off the air, rumors of a potential movie have been rampant, but Hollywood (and series creator and writer Mitch Hurwitz) has so far been unable to wrangle everybody back together for one more story with the Bluth family. The monocle-wearing organizers of The New Yorker Festival, however have managed to do what no one else has been able to do since 2006: get the entire cast back together in one place at the same time.

That’s right, Mitchell Hurwitz along with Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, David Cross, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter will all take the stage at the Acura at SIR Stage37 in New York on Sunday, October 2nd for a panel discussion. We’re taking bets now on how fast the question about the movie will turn up (we’re guessing they’ll get it out of the way right at the beginning). However, this thing will set you back a bit of coin. Tickets are $30 and go on sale on Wednesday, September 21st at noon right here. So you better line up (online anyway) pretty early.

Needless to say, this event should be a total blast and we really hope Franklin comes out to make an appearance as well. Hopefully with everyone back in one place, Hurwitz will have an actual, real update about the proposed movie other than “We’re working on it” or “We really hope it gets made.” I mean, come on!
