FIRST LOOK: Playful Images from Pixar's Brave and Tim Burton's Frankenweenie

Disney is doling out tantalizing new tidbits (images, trailers, and posters) with practiced restraint to build anticipation for both Pixar's "Brave" (June 22, 2012) and Tim Burton's "Frankenweenie"(October 5, 2012).

These two images show impressive detailing, and both new images convey insights into narrative and character.  The screen still from "Brave" confirms what we know about the film: a strong-willed protagonist, with wildly curly locks and mean archery skills. The shot from Tim Burton's "Frankenweenie" reveals a soft character study – a small boy and his beloved animal happily falling asleep under a Jules Verne poster. [Via The Playlist]
