'The Artist' Leads San Diego Critics Awards

Michel Hazanavicius’s “The Artist” led the winners of the San Diego Film Critics Awards, taking the best picture prize.

While that goes in line with most other awards groups, the San Diego folks offered a few surprises as well: Brit Marling and Michael Shannon won acting awards, while “Beginners” beat out “The Artist” for best editing/
