"Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone" Gets DVD/Digital Release Pickup And Release Date

SPARK, a new label dedicated to releasing quality documentaries on the arts created by the Cinema Guild to release on home video and/or digital, will distribute Everyday Sushine: The Story of Fishbone a documentary about the band Fishbone, the pioneering Black rock band that is celebrated its 25th anniversary last year; Laurence Fishburne narrates the acclaimed film about the group who released their highly-anticipated most recent album Crazy Glue, on October 18 2011.

Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone will be available to own on DVD/digital on February 21, 2012.

Profiled on the old S&A site last April this year, when it was revealed that it would screen at the Atlanta Film Festival, the doc receives an official theatrical release last fall, courtesy of Pale Griot Films, opening in New York City, on October 7th, at ReRun Theater in Brooklyn, followed by an L.A. run at Laemmle Sunset 5, beginning on October 21st.

The documentary includes interviews with the likes of Gwen Stefani, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Ice-T, Branford Marsalis, and Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction, Porno For Pyros).
