Kickstarter Campaign for "The Bullfighter" About Chicago Bulls' Player Norm Van Lier

Back in the 1970’s, long before Michael Jordan became synonymous with the Chicago Bulls, there was Norm Van Lier. Arguably the most popular player on the team before MJ, Van Lier, who died suddenly in 2009 at the age of 61, led a wild and turbulent life, famous for his exploits both on and off the court.

The years after his playing days were choatic with personal setbacks, his family falling apart, even losing their home, and at times Van Lier living in his car until the early 1990’s, when he became a very popular and outspoken radio and TV sports commentator.

Now Van Lier’s dramatic life is the focus of a new documenatry, The Bullfighter,  being directed by his daughter filmmaker Heidi Van Lier and Sean Meredith, and a Kickstarter campaign is currently going on to raise funds to complete the film.
