Watch: "The Code" Proves That Zombies Can Still Be Funny

Welcome to the first Video of the Day for 2012: Funny, clever, resourceful, "The Code" was the result of Houston's Splatterfest Weekend of Mayhem, in which a filmmaker gets 54 hours to shoot, edit and score a horror short based on an assigned character, line of dialogue and murder weapon.

Directed by Matk Blitch and starring Taylor Brandt, "The Code" sweept the Splatterfest awards with 11 prizes, including best film, director and screenplay. It's now on Funny or Die, where it's deservedly doing well.
