As promised, tonight at 7PM ET at the Film Society of Lincoln Center‘s Film Center Ampitheater, The Playlist and IndieWIRE, in conjunction with Film Linc, will be showing “Martha Marcy May Marlene” director Sean Durkin‘s short, “Mary Last Seen” for free. A type of prequel to the celebrated drama starring Elizabeth Olsen and John Hawkes, the excellent companion piece short, “Mary Last Seen” explores the notion of cult indoctrination and serves as an early entry point into the recruitment of lost souls and how they are brought into the fold. The ampitheater only seats 75, so make sure to get there early. But if you can’t make it, (or don’t live nearby), you can sign up to unlock and watch the short at exactly 7pm, by registering here (and you will not be able to see it before then; set your watches; this one is appointment viewing only).

The short will be shown in its entirety and additionally, director Sean Durkin, cinematographer Drew Innis and actress Alexia Rasmussen will be in the house for a post Q&A that The Playlist and IndieWIRE will livestream right here in this post (tune around 7:10 pm ET). Follow IndieWIRE and The Playlist on Twitter as well.  We’ll be taking questions live from Twitter during the streaming Q&A, for the filmmakers so follow along use the hashtag #marylastseen, tonight on February 20th to participate. See you later this evening. “Martha Marcy May Marlene” is available on DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow, Tuesday, February 21st.
