With a few late winter and early spring releases set to bow in theaters in February and March, studios are starting to get the promotional wheels rolling on several anticipated releases.

Universal has released a small clip from “Role Models” director David Wain’s upcoming “Wanderlust” with Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston, along with some Wain regulars like Ken Marino and Joe Lo Truglio. The film follows a recently unemployed couple who take up with a rural commune, and while the first trailer may not have impressed everybody, this clip shows that the comedy will be in the same wheelhouse as past Wain releases like the aforementioned (and excellent) “Role Models” and “Wet Hot American Summer.” Featuring a dueling guitar battle of the Spin Doctor’s “Two Princes” between Rudd and a commune leader played by Justin Theroux, the laughs may be slight, but they’re certainly effective. And oh, for fans of “Role Models,” pay close attention to the beginning of the clip and you’ll hear a small bit of “Love Take Me Down the Streets,” the song A.D. Miles thought was by Wings. “Wanderlust” arrives on February 24th.

Next, there’s a clip for the hotly anticipated Gareth Evans-helmed “The Raid.” The red band scene begins with the script “Four on One,” and well, let’s just say that what you see is written on the box with this one. Featuring the excellent pacing and choreographed fight scenes we’ve all heard about, this clip proves “The Raid” is one to see when it hits theatres on March 23rd.

Finally, three clips for the Amanda Seyfried-starring thriller “Gone,” which we really haven’t been hearing much about lately. This one opens up against “Wanderlust” on February 24th, with Seyfried on the trail of her sister’s kidnapper, who she believes is the same person who nabbed her years ago. It’s one of those movies where the powerhouse star will stop at nothing to see her sister’s return and blah, blah, blah. The clips shed some light on why word on this movie has been nil, as they feature some pretty bland performances and an awkwardly shot car chase. The picture features an impressive ensemble of Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan, Wes Bentley, Michael Pare, and Daniel Sunjata, so perhaps these clips will work better in context? We’re not holding our breath. [Metacafe/Making Of/Collider]
