Will Crowe and Neeson Face Off in Aronofsky's 'Noah's Ark'

Christian Bale is a no-go for Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah’s Ark,” but Russell Crowe may be taking the helm as Noah. Word is, Aronofsky is eyeing both Crowe and Liam Neeson for the biblical retelling with Crowe as the good guy and Neeson the bad. The film is set to shoot this spring, with New Regency and Paramount footing the $130 million price tag. Back in October, Aronofsky had planned to shoot the film on an epic fantasy scale; he told BloodyDisgusting that the Bible’s Noah was both the first environmentalist and the first man to get drunk. Crowe’s got our vote (cast yours below.)

Aronofsky’s original script got a polish from Crowe’s “Gladiator” screenwriter, John Logan. AintItCool ponders, “Russell Crowe and Liam Neeson together… no wonder the dinosaurs didn’t make it on the boat.”
