Two worthy films that we have covered extensively here on S & A, Alrick Brown’s Rwanda set drama Kinyarwanda and the documenatry Phunny Business which chronicles Raymond Lambert’s legendary Chicago black comedy club All Jokes Aside are two of the selections made by film critic Roger Ebert this year for his much anticipated annual film festival Ebertfest.

The festival, which takes place every year in Ebert’s home town of Champaign, Illinois at the historic Virginia Theater, focuses mainly on overlooked, forgotten or underappreciated films such as actress Vera Farmiga’s directing debut Higher Ground and the cult favorite, the eccectric1990 Tom Hanks comedy Joe and the Volcano both of which be also screened at this year’s festival.
