Brit Week Takes Over Los Angeles, Because Somehow They Need More Attention

The British Are Coming!

Brit Week takes over Los Angeles April 24 – May 7 to promote everything Brit, from films, fashion and stars from across the pond to the sovereign state’s top innovators and artists. This celebration of greatness and prosperity reads like a marketing grab for attention and respect for still being one of the great world powers, long after centuries of world dominance have passed. Hey, American culture and power have also seen better days. Why not celebrate the Brits?

Events include a red carpet champagne kick-off party on April 24, the Film & TV Luncheon & Summit on current creative and business challenges and opportunities, Piers Morgan’s conversation with celeb novelist Jackie Collins at the Beverly Wilshire (benefitting the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles), a screening of Aardman’s new animated film “The Pirates! Band of Misfits” at the Pacific Design Center, the Business Innovation Awards, Music Industry Party to Honor the Sync Mission, a Santa Monica Rugby Club doubleheader, and comedian and “showbiz reporter” Sandro Monetti’s one-man show “Celebrity Theatre: Clooney, Cowell, Pitt & Me.”

Brit Week also travels to Orange County and San Francisco. Here are more details on events and tickets.
