The Competition Jury for the 65th Cannes Film Festival, presided over by Nanni Moretti, welcomes to its ranks:
- Hiam Abbass: Palestinian actress, director. Known for “The Limits of Control,” “The Visitor,” “Miral
- Andrea Arnold: British director and scriptwriter. Known for “Red Road,” “Fish Tank,” “Wuthering Heights”
- Emmanuelle Devos: French actress. Known for “My Sex Life… or How I Got Into an Argument,” “Read My Lips,” “In the Beginning.”
- Diane Kruger: German actress. Known for “Troy,” “Joyeux Noël,” “Farewell, My Queen”
- Jean Paul Gaultier: French designer. Known for costuming work on “The Fifth Element,” “Bad Education,” “The Skin I Live In.”
- Ewan McGregor: British actor. Known for “Trainspotting,” “Moulin Rouge,” “The Ghost Writer.”
- Alexander Payne: American director, scriptwriter and producer. Known for “Election,” “About Schmidt,” “Sideways,” “The Descendants.”
- Raoul Peck: Haitian director, scriptwriter and producer. Known for “The Man by the Shore,” “Lumemba,” “Sometimes in April.”
The Jury of the 65th Festival de Cannes will decide among twenty-two films before selecting winners. Winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony on 27th May, culminating in the announcement of the Palme d’or.
