Watch: Spoiler-ish Trailer For 'Your Sister's Sister' With Emily Blunt, Rosemarie DeWitt & Mark Duplass

Premiering at TIFF last fall, unspooling at the Tribeca Film Festival which kicks off today and headed into theaters later this spring, if you’re eager to see “Your Sister’s Sister,” the latest from “Humpday” director Lynn Shelton, you might actually want to stop reading now and not bother with the trailer as it pretty much gives up the entire story.

Starring Emily Blunt, Mark Duplass and Rosemarie DeWitt, the film tells the story of the aimless Jack (Duplass), who in the wake of his brother’s death retreats to the isolated cabin belonging to the family of his best friend Iris (Blunt). When he gets there, her sister Hannah (DeWitt) has unexpectedly also decided to find solitude following the end of a relationship. Forced to share space and eventually what they’re going through, the two form a fast friendship and then….well, wait until you see the movie.

The performances in the film are across the board excellent — one particular late scene with Duplass might just be the best work he’s ever done — but as we noted in our review from TIFF, the film sags as one character is kept in the dark about something everyone else in the film and audience knows, dragging the story to a halt, which as a result, leads to a rushed and unsatisfactory ending that short changes the emotional impact.

But, give it a whirl yourself when it opens on June 15th. Watch the trailer below, which features the song “On My Way Back Home” by Band Of Horses.
