“We Will Riot”
Logline:
A film about beats, love, friendship, and the system that destroys it all.
Elevator Pitch:
Production Team:
Producer/Director: Romas Zabarauskas
Music Supervisor: Mark Splinter
Cinematographer: Ville Piippo
Editor: Gintarė Sokelytė
Cast: Ebeneezer Nii Sowah, Vilma Kutavičiūtė, Šarūnas Zenkevičius
About the Production:
“We Will Riot was inspired by my experience living in two different worlds: among a group of young and talented beatmakers in my home country Lithuania, who are already attracting the attention of tastemakers like Radiohead and Mary Anne Hobbs. Second, the nation’s corrupt and self-serving politics, an open secret in Lithuania, which the youth of the country, like their counterparts around the world, are slowly starting to address. With this film, I’ll try to question the possibilities of honest peaceful protest in an age when we’re all part of the injustice that surrounds us.” — Romas Zabarauskas
Current Status:
Pre-production.
