Comic-Con Web Series Roundup: Crackle's 'The Unknown,' Bryan Singer's 'H+' and 'Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters'

Web series are becoming a major presence at pop culture madhouse Comic-Con, as film and TV talent increasingly make the move to the small cyber screen and as web-based companies tackle original programming production and distribution. A round-up of panels and trailers below.

-On Friday, July 13, actress Taryn Manning (“Hawaii Five-O”) and director Martha Coolidge (“Real Genius”) discuss Crackle’s newest original series “The Unknown.” Touted as a “long-form anthology series,” the show follows an anonymous blogger (Dominic Monaghan of “Lost” and the LOTR franchise) who discovers supernatural occurences and conspiracy theories that have suspiciously gone undocumented.

-Bryan Singer’s apocalyptic “H+ The Digital Series” will screen. The series, set in the future, follows the incessant use of the drug H+, which allows humans to connect mentally to the internet at any time. When a virus is unleashed in H+, a third of the world’s population dies instantly, and it’s up to a few rebel survivors to unearth the truth. -On Saturday, July 14, actor Scott Wolf (“Party of Five”) and other cast members will be on hand to answer questions about the new animated series “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters.” Though the series, which follows a young hero battling fantastical creatures in a parallel dimension, will air on The Hub TV network, “Kaijido” is multi-platform oriented, and has a trading card line as well as an online trading card game and battle game.
