Congrats to ‘Speechless,’ Indiewire’s Project of the Week!

Congrats to 'Speechless,' Indiewire's Project of the Week!

Thanks to your votes, the short comedic wedding toast film “Speechless” won this weekend’s Project of the Week contest!

Congratulations to “Speechless” director Paul Briganti. The filmmaker will receive a digital distribution consultation from SnagFilms and the film is now officially a candidate for Project of the Month, the winner of which will receive a consultation from the Tribeca Film Institute.

Most people have terrible public speaking skills. At weddings, ordinary schmoes are called upon to give funny, moving speeches. In Speechless, Dan has to give a speech for two of his best friends. To make things worse, he’s still in love with one of them and hates the other.

Dan must struggle to come up with something meaningful, while also coming into strict competition with the bride’s pompous, cutthroat uncle.

More Projects of the Day coming this week. Want your project to be considered? Tell us all about it.
