Exclusive: TIFF Poster for Ruba Nadda's 'Inescapable' Starring Marisa Tomei and Alexander Siddig

Ruba Nadda’s “Inescapable,” which is set to debut as a Gala Premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival in September, has released its poster, exclusive to Indiewire.

The film, which stars Alexander Siddig (“Sammy and Rosy Got Laid,” “Start Trek: Deep Space 9”) in his first starring role also features Marisa Tomei and Joshua Jackson.

In the film, Adib (Siddig) must had back to Syria, his birthplace but also a country he has not seen in decades, to find his missing daughter.  Tomei stars as a woman who Adib meets along the way, and Jackson plays a diplomatic beauracrat that Adib encounters.

Nadda recently found success in the Patricia Clarkson-starrer “Cairo Time.”  Indiewire spoke with Nadda and Siddig right after the shoot (which was actually in South Africa) ended.  On the incitement for the project, Nadda told Indiewire, “I’ve been in love with Alexander since I was 16.  Alexander is the typical Arab man to me.  When I was casting ‘Cairo Time,’ I was like, no one else can do this. He had to say yes to ‘Cairo Time.’ While I was on set, I was writing ‘Inescapable.’ I came up to him and told him I’m writing a script for him.”
