Movies We 'Like': New Feature Tracks Recent Films' Facebook Page Likes

Movies with Butter has launched a new feature called the “Popcorn Index,” tracking and ranking how many “likes” a recent film’s official Facebook page receives. The charts are sorted in a variety of ways, including daily likes, total likes, etc. So which films do we like the most?

Our hearts will go on and on liking “Titanic” (27,784,042 likes) and thanks to the April re-release of James Cameron’s film in 3-D, it’s included on the Popcorn Index’s Facebook tracking.

For daily likes, “Titanic” was dethroned by “The Dark Knight Rises” (1,767,695 likes) upon its release. But since July 31, “Ted” (3,206,415 likes) has taken the crown of daily likes away from “TDKR.”

But teenage girls rule the “like” universe: “Katy Perry: Part of Me” and both “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” installments take the cake.
