About the Production:
“In our current economic crisis, there’s no better place to look to than Detroit. In response to the declining auto industry, Detroiters have created a self-sufficient culture based on DIY principles and social justice. Detroit Je T’aime is an interactive documentary created to introduce this culture to a broader audience. With interactive features like a “DIY Toolbox,” viewers will learn to save money through projects like fixing bicycles or growing food in a community garden. For Detroit, the crisis has been an opportunity to redefine its values, we hope our documentary will empower others to do the same.” — Nora Mandray
