After selling TV rights to HBO last week, “Love Marilyn,” the latest film from Oscar-nominated director Liz Garbus (“The Farm: Angola, USA”) is headed to digital and cable VOD platforms and DVD.
Cinedigm Entertainment bought all US DVD/Digital/VOD rights to “Love Marilyn” in a deal with Submarine Entertainment today.
The film, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death, features readings from Monroe’s personal writings and appearances by stars like Ellen Burstyn, Hope Davis, Lindsey Lohan, Oliver Platt, Lili Taylor and Marisa Tomei as well as archival footage featuring Arthur Miller, Norman Mailer, Joe Dimaggio, Truman Capote and more.
The film recently played at Telluride and Toronto and will open this year’s Hamptons Film Festival.
