As far as advertising campaigns go for computer products, Intel/Toshiba has really raised the bar. And while executive will wonder whether the investment will lead to more sales/awareness of their brand and products, cinephiles can just be happy it’s another avenue for rising “Like Crazy” director Drake Doremus to show off his talents. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Topher Grace are along for the ride.
Launched in the middle of the summer, with a social media campaign in which participants could earn a spot in the web series, it has now been completed and all six episodes of “The Beauty Inside” are online for you to check out. The concept is rather simple, with the narrative following Alex (voiced by Grace), a young man who wakes up each day with a different appearance, and it chronicles his attempts to find a meaningful relationship. Adding another nice bit of texture is composer Dustin O’Halloran (his score for “Like Crazy” is beauitful), who adds some musical elements here as well.
