Entertainment One has acquired North American distribution rights to the documentary “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s,” which features appearances by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Nicole Ritchie and Joan Rivers. The company plans an early 2013 theatrical release in the U.S. and Canada.

Directed by Matthew Miele and narrated by William Fichtner, “Scatter My Ashes” is a celebration of the famous Fifth Avenue store Bergdorf Goodman on its 111th anniversary. The iconic venue launched the careers of many of the world’s most well known designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, who appear in the film to discuss the store’s impact. Celebrity clientele such as Candice Bergen and Susan Lucci, veteran employees, members of the Goodman family and fashion director Linda Fargo all speak to the Bergdorf influence.
