Get Connected With New Images & Soundtrack Preview For 'Cloud Atlas'

Heading into the last stretch of the movie year, this is when studios generally roll out their more sure-fire bets, either banking on four quadrant stuff to take care of bored families during the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, or their awards-contending pictures that they hope will maintain buzz. But one of the biggest gambles hits in just a few weeks with Warner Bros.’Cloud Atlas.” Granted, they didn’t produce it — it was financed independently — but the sprawling, nearly three-hour movie may have won over crowds at TIFF and Fantastic Fest, but can it carry over to mainstream audiences?

We’ll find out soon, but until then, the curtain has been pulled back a bit more on the film. First off, a bunch of new pics from the movie have arrived, mostly centered on the future-set plot threads involving rugged-living, leprechaun-haunted Tom Hanks and cyborg resistance fighter Bae Doona, and the ’70s strand with Hugh Grant as an evil industrialist and Halle Berry investigating his company. Meanwhile, we must have missed this little tidbit, but it turns out co-director Tom Tykwer also scored the movie alongside Johnny Klimek and Reinhold Heil, and Amazon has a preview of their work which you can check out below.

Lastly, if you still need more “Cloud Atlas” to tide you over, there’s a new TV spot as well, though some of it is kinda spoilerish. Anyway, the movie drops on October 26th with the soundtrack landing digitally on the October 23rd. [Filmofilia/The Film Stage]
