“Dallas was the epicenter for 1980s counterculture. The heartbeat of the city was the STARCK CLUB – Shangri-La for the rich, the famous, the uber hip: movie stars, rock stars, sports celebrities, Dallas debutantes, politicians all found peace and love together. The then legal drug, MDMA or “Ecstasy”, was adding euphoric fuel to the fire. I entered the curtains of the STARCK CLUB a right wing, conservative, real estate agent in my twenties who thought I had seen and done it all. I came out only a real estate agent who never saw the world the same again.” — Michael Cain
