Film Society of Lincoln Center Theaters Reopen After Storm

When digital manager Eugene Hernandez returned to work at the  Film Society of Lincoln Center Wednesday, there was power but it took considerable effort to get all systems up and ready so that their two theaters could reopen Thursday.

Over the weekend through Wednesday, they shuttered screenings of “A Royal Affair” and the remaining Scary Movies series. The Film Society has now resumed all screenings and film events at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center and the Walter Reade Theater, including first-run showings of “Brooklyn Castle,” “Holy Motors,” “The Rivisionaries” and An Evening with director Joe Wright. Between screenings of Working Title’s upcoming “Anna Karenina” and Oscar-winning “Atonement” (which both star Keira Knightley), there will be a Q & A with Wright and writer Tom Stoppard.
