Quentin Tarantino Admits 'Kill Bill 3' Will Probably Never Happen Plus Watch His Interview With Scott Foundas

Quentin Tarantino loves to talk, and now on the press rounds for “Django Unchained,” he’s doing a lot of it. One of his favorite subjects is the movies he would like to make, and it was only a few days ago that he was once again talking up a ’30s gangster picture, and perhaps even more westerns based on the subject of slavery. And one movie he’s been stoking the fires of for years is “Kill Bill 3,” a picture he’s been talking about ever since the first two entries hit nearly a decade ago. But now he’s admitting that the movie is probably not one that will get made.

At Comic-Con over the summer, Tarantino was slightly more hopeful. “I always said I would wait ten years,” he said. ” ‘Kill Bill 3’ is a work in progress.” But it would seem the director has other things to do. He was in Toronto last night to help launch “Django Unchained” in Canada where We Got This Covered managed to throw a couple of questions his way, and the director pretty much admitted that “Kill Bill 3” will likely never happen.

“I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a ‘Kill Bill. Vol 3.’ We’ll see, probably not though,” he said. It’s candid talk from the director, so those holding out hope for further adventures in that world shouldn’t hold their breath. And frankly, everyone is still waiting for the much promised “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair.”

And oh yeah, another movie you can scratch off his list? Anything in the James Bond franchise. Fans already know that Tarantino once pitched “Casino Royale” to producers (before it was eventually made with Daniel Craig) and he reveals they should’ve hired him then. “No, ‘Casino Royale’ was the one I wanted to direct, they missed their opportunity,” he said. And in case you forgot, he’s not going to direct any of the “Star Wars” sequels either.

As always, Tarantino is a great listen, and below you can see excerpts from his Sirius XM chat hosted by Film Comment’s Scott Foundas where he talks about his influences, meeting Terry Gilliam and more. Also, he rocks a Wu Wear hoodie which is kind of awesome.
