'Silver Linings Playbook' Star Bradley Cooper Honored with Palm Springs' Desert Palm Achievement Award

Bradley Cooper will recieve the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Desert Palm Achievement Award for acting at its January 5 awards gala. PSIFF’s Harold Matzner states that, “Cooper’s portrayal of Pat Solution [in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ is a career best performance that has created Oscar buzz and has audiences rooting for him despite the challenges he faces throughout the film.”

Cooper also receive the National Board of Review’s Best Actor award, and is nominated for an Indie Spirit Award. Up next for Cooper is “The Hangvoer Part III,” Derek CIanfrance’s “The Place Beyond the Pines” and Susanne Bier’s “Serena” with his “SLP” co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

Also being honored at PSIFF is the cast of the cast of Ben Affleck’s “Argo,” Helen Hunt (“The Sessions”), Naomi Watts (“The Impossible”), Robert Zemeckis (“Flight”) and Sally Field (“Lincoln”).
