‘Argo’ Takes The Best Ensemble Award, Jennifer Lawrence Wins Best Actress For ‘Silver Linings Playbook’: 2013 SAG Awards

'Argo' Takes The Best Ensemble Award, Jennifer Lawrence Wins Best Actress For 'Silver Linings Playbook': 2013 SAG Awards

Earlier: Alright, let’s do this. The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) are happening right now. Let’s not forget, the guild awards are a major augur for what happens with the Oscars. It will be interesting to see how “Argo,” which took the Producers Guild Award, will factor in. Presumably “Silver Linings Playbook” will dominate the movie categories, but you never know. The first major award? Anne Hathaway won Best Supporting Actress for “Les Miserables.” Duh. She’s 100% taking that one to the Oscars.

Post-event: Well, the night went like many expected, but “Argo” upsetting “Silver Linings Playbook” was a significant surprise to say the least. The Ben Affleck-directed picture seems unstoppable and poised to win the Oscar Best Picture. More analysis tomorrow.
