The details in brief below…

The Heineken Affinity Award is by nomination only. Industry professionals are surveyed and asked to nominate their choice of filmmaker. The award is to serve as a new platform that celebrates and creates further awareness around the work of established and emerging African American filmmakers.

Each of these African American filmmakers were nominated by industry professionals from across the country. Basing their decisions on the filmmaker’s creative potential, previous work and need of exposure, the following ten projects were selected. Please join us and VIEW each of their new projects and bodies of work!

All of the Affinity winners will receive an initial grant in recognition of their excellent work. Now that we’ve created a space for you to view and share their work, it is up to you to help us further support and select one of the filmmakers with an additional $20,000 cash award, as well as year round project support and professional development from the Tribeca Film Institute.

Join us in CELEBRATING these ten filmmakers by voting HERE.

The winner will be announced during the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival.
