Watch: The Trailer for the Return of 'Doctor Who' Features New 'Impossible' Companion Clara

Having bid farewell to companions Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory Pond (Arthur Darvill) late last year in an episode that took “Doctor Who” to New York, the long-running British series starts up again on BBC and BBC America on March 30 with the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith) embarking on his latest adventures alongside new addition Clara Oswald (Jenna-Louise Coleman), who he calls “the Impossible Girl, the only mystery worth solving.”

BBC America is pairing the return of “Doctor Who” with the premieres of the network’s new original series “Orphan Black” and “The Nerdist” following it at 9pm and 10pm. The March 30th “Doctor Who” episode “The Bells of Saint John” is written by executive producer Steven Moffat (“Sherlock”) and will introduce a new nemesis, the Spoonheads, who Moffat has promised will “get kids frightened of Wi-Fi.” A later episode this season, “The Last Cyberman,” is written by Neil Gaiman.
