2013: White House Correspondents Dinner: Here are the Best Lines

President Barack Obama killed it on Saturday night when he skewered everyone in Washington, the media world and Hollywood.

He clearly enjoyed himself. He had fun giving it to friends, foes and everyone in between.

These were some of my favorite moments from the President’s talk during the dinner:

He quipped that it was strange to see former chief advisor David Axelrod was working for MSNBC — “since MSNBC used to work for him.”

He noted that he had only made two shots out of 22 recently on the White House basketball court — “two hits and 20 misses, and NBC said: ‘What’s your secret?'”

The President needled Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, the rising star of the Republican Party, when he pointed out in a mock-gruff tone: “The guy had not finished a single term in the Senate and he thinks he is ready to be President — kids!”

He noted that he had recently had attended an event for the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas. Obama had started to think of his own presidential library some day. President Obama said people told him to put it in his birthplace — “but I’d rather keep it in the United States.”
