The film begins in 1991 as iconic alt rock musician Jeff Buckley (erstwhile “Gossip Girl” star Penn Badgley) prepares for his public singing debut in Brooklyn memorializing his father, late folk singer Tim Buckley. As Jeff struggles to reconcile the legacy of his enigmatic father (played in 1960s flashbacks by Ben Rosenfield), the film chronicles Jeff’s relationship with a young woman (Imogen Poots).
