'In Her Voice,' New Ebook by Women and Hollywood's Melissa Silverstein, Collects More Than 40 Interviews with Women Directors

Indiewire’s own Women and Hollywood editor Melissa Silverstein has just published an ebook, “In Her Voice: Women Directors Talk Directing,” a collection of more than 40 interviews with feature and documentary women filmmakers from around the world.

Interviewees include Sally Potter (“Ginger & Rosa”), Debra Granik (“Winter’s Bone”), Courtney Hunt (“Frozen River”), Callie Khouri (“Mad Money”), Lone Scherfig (“An Education”) and Lynn Shelton (“Touchy Feely”).

The book, which is also available as a paperback through Amazon, is Silverstein’s first, and is intended as part of a growing canon of writings, interviews and events from Women and Hollywood.

Silverstein is also the co-founder and artistic director of the Athena Film Festival, an annual fest at New York City’s Barnard College highlighting women and leadership.
