'Midnight's Children,' 'Reluctant Fundamentalist' and Bollywood Come to Hollywood in 2013 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles

The 11th annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles is gearing up for its 2013 edition (April 9-14), and has a handful of special screenings decorating its lineup. Mira Nair’s “The Reluctant Fundamentalist,” starring Riz Ahmed, Kate Hudson, Liev Shreiber and Keifer Sutherland, is part of the program, along with Anurag Kashyap’s festival opener “Gangs of Wasseypur” and Deepa Mehta’s Salman Rushdie adaptation and fest closer “Midnight’s Children.”

Rounding out the lineup are some classic Bollywood selections. IFFLA is bringing back its popular Bollywood By Night program, this year screening three selections by Hindi cinema’s “king of romance” Yosh Chopra: 1976’s “Kabhie Kabhie,” 1981’s “Silsila” and 1989’s “Chandni.”

The fest will take place at the Hollywood Arclight. Check out the full lineup, along with ticket info, here.

In the meantime, check out some exuberant clips from the Chopra titles coming to the fest:
