If there were as many serial killers in real life as there currently are on television, the U.S. population would have a major dent it in and we’d run to risk of coming across smiley faces or lines from Edgar Allan Poe scrawled in blood on the sidewalk on the average trip to the dry cleaners. “The Killing,” which was resurrected by AMC for a third season set to start Sunday, June 2 at 8pm, has jumped on the serial killer bandwagon for its new crime saga, which will pick up a year after the close of the Rosie Larsen one and will deal with a gruesome string of murders that will link the current case Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman) is working on to one his former Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) investigated in the past. The just-released key art for the new season, below, highlights how much higher the body count is going to be this time around.
