Sunglasses define who you are right? They do for the characters of Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring,” based on the real life teens who famously stalked celebrities’ whereabouts on Twitter to break into their homes and raid their closets. The much-anticipated film has had a lot of buzz lately, including the first clip from the film featuring Emma Watson working her magic on the pole this time. However, the latest poster for the film shows off a bit of each character’s style.
From “The Mastermind” to “The Wild Card” to “The Star,” the poster introduces each member of the Bling Ring with nicknames and pairs of flashy sunglasses. The Starbucks-addicted, designer-clad youngsters, including Watson and Tarissa Farmiga (“American Horror Story”), are the type that wouldn’t leave the house without their expensive shades. The poster for “The Bling Ring” will keep us guessing just which celebrities’ swag they’re all wearing; Paris Hilton’s, Orlando Bloom’s, or maybe Megan Fox’s?
A24 brings us the the second of their teen exploitation films this year (“Spring Breakers”), with the release of “The Bling Ring” on June 14th.
