Check out the new trailer for David M. Rosenthal’s “A Single Shot,” which premiered in Berlin earlier this year and stars Sam Rockwell as a Southern hunter who finds himself at the center of a terrible and then deadly accident. Jeffrey Wright (“Source Code”), Kelly Reilly (“Flight”), Jason Isaacs (“Inside Llewyn Davis”), Ted Levine (“Shutter Island”), Melissa Leo and William H. Macy also star.
Rockwell plays John Moon, who, while stalking a deer out of season, accidentally shoots and kills a teenage girl. He hides her body in a backwoods cave, but stumbles upon a large stash of money in the process. A malevolent game of cat-and-mouse ensues, between John and a gang of hardened criminals out for the money — and blood.
Matthew F. Jones penned the script, adapting it from his own novel.
