The new trailer for Neil Jordan’s return to the vampire genre “Byzantium,” features Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan who play a mother and daughter vampire pair navigating the immortal underworld controlled by male vampires. Ronan plays the 16-year-old daughter trapped in a state of agelessness and struggling with the need to find solace in a friend by sharing her story and therefore putting herself in jeopardy. The dramatic trailer features stunning visuals of waterfalls of blood and lots of death. The film opens in late June 28th and screens this week at the Tribeca Film Festival.
