Watch Comedy From Obama, O'Brien, Spielberg at the White House Correspondents Dinner

This year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner gave us a few
insights about comedy:

President Obama has killer comic timing. We knew that, but
just listen to his delivery of some lines and you know he’s a natural. Instead
of spending $100 million dollars to defeat him, Sheldon Adelson should have offered
him the money not to run. “I wouldn’t have taken it,” the President
said . . .  and after perfect comic
pauses, added deadpan,  “but I’d have
thought about it … Michelle would have taken it.”

We heard that Conan O’Brien is so much funnier making fun of
the media than he is mocking politics. He had to follow the President, never easy, and
he started slowly. But once he got around to CNN, MSNBC and Fox News, he was
hilarious. And now that he’s mentioned it, it does seem that CNN replaced Larry
King with a scheming footman from Downton Abbey.

And in the latest collaboration between Washington and show
business, the President’s speech included ‘Spielberg’s Obama,’
with Steven Spielberg himself introducing a behind-the-scenes look at his
latest film. In the video, the President plays Daniel Day-Lewis playing Obama.

You can fast forward to it in the President’s speech above, or just take a look at the Spielberg-Obama movie here:
