David Boreanaz, Minka Kelly, Ally Sheedy Join the Cast of Neil LaBute's TV Debut 'Full Circle'

DirecTV’s recently announced 10-episode original series “Full Circle” will be the television debut of filmmaker and playwright Neil LaBute, so it comes as no surprise that the project has netted an impressive, star-filled cast. Making it a little easier is the fact that the half-hour drama is essentially an anthology series. Based on the play “La Ronde,” each episode will feature two characters, with one carrying over to the next installment to be paired with someone new until the show comes back around to one of the first people to appear — a light commitment for an actor.

Set to star in the series are Tom Felton (“Harry Potter”), Minka Kelly (“Friday Night Lights”), Julian McMahon (“Nip/Tuck”), David Boreanaz (“Bones”), Keke Palmer (“Akeelah and the Bee”), Devon Gearhart (“The Wait”), Billy Campbell (“The Killing”), Kate Walsh (“Private Practice”), Noah Silver (“The Borgias”), Ally Sheedy (“Welcome to the Rileys”), Cheyenne Jackson (“Behind the Candelabra”) and Robin Weigert (“Sons of Anarchy”).

The series will consist of a series of conversations between 11 people whose lives are intertwined in ways they don’t realize. Each episode will feature two characters and will take place in a restaurant, which sounds pretty static, but also in the realm in which LaBute is most comfortable, focused on intimate conversation. Felton will play Tim, an exchange student from England whose love interest is Bridgette (Kelly); Bridgette’s husband Stanley (McMahon) is a charismatic and intense entertainment lawyer whose client Jace (Boreanaz) is a famous comic known for his outlandish behavior.

Chan’dra’s (Palmer) life was irrevocably altered as a result of a joke that Jace took too far — she secretly has a crush on her classmate Cliff (Gearhart). Cliff’s father Trent (Campbell) is married to Trisha (Walsh), and an aspiring singer named Peter (Jackson) intrudes on a special night between the couple. Robbie (Silver) is Trisha’s student, and Celeste (Sheedy) is the mother with whom he shares an unnerving bond. The characters will be brought together in the final episode with the unexpected addition of one (Weigert) in what DirecTV promises will be an explosive ending.

“Full Circle” will air exclusively on DirecTV’s Audience channel in the fall of this year. It’s being executive produced by Nick Hamm for Momentum TV, who produced DirecTV’s first foray into original drama, the Thandie Newton crime series “Rogue.” Series creator LaBute will serve as writer and co-executive producer.
