Diddy’s Return to Acting Has Him Right Where You’d Want Him: ‘Downton Abbey’

Diddy's Return to Acting Has Him Right Where You'd Want Him: 'Downton Abbey'

It’s been almost three years since Sean Combs—aka Diddy, aka P. Diddy, aka Puff Daddy —won praise for his charmingly brash comedic turn in the otherwise forgettable “Get Him to the Greek” (after roles in more serious fare like “Monster’s Ball” and “A Raisin in the Sun”). Despite rumors of a spinoff for his character, Combs only landed a couple of acting jobs and none of them were worth talking about…

Until now? Yesterday the music producer tweeted that he landed a role on his “favorite show” “Downton Abbey.” Certainly some fans were disappointed, but many were relieved when his “sneak peak” debuted in the wee hours of Thursday morning as the Funny or Die video, “Downton Diddy.”

The video shows Combs randomly inserted into scenes from the show as Lord Wolcott, the new owner of “Downtown Abbey.” Check it out below and then let us know if you wish Diddy would really pop up Downtown, er, Downton.
